Product Description
Students travel on the Silk Road to explore the known and unknown world of the 13th century. This lesson, the second in a full unit on the Silk Road, includes geography skills and writing. It appeals to visual and kinesthetic learners with its variety of activities.

Students practice map skills, make medallions that represent those that Kublai Khan had travelers carry for safe passage, and develop their own maps and creatures that might exist in the unknown world similar to the beliefs of the 13th century Italians.
