Happy Mardi Gras! This math mini unit for finding 10 more and 10 less is perfectly suited for some festive carnival activities! The lessons are quick and simple and can be reinforced with the corresponding center activities all season long!

This unit has 5 days of lesson plans on finding 10 more and 10 less. Each day includes a whole group lesson plan, small group lesson plan, center activities, exit tickets (not day 5), and recording pages. There is also a summative assessment for analyzing student achievement for the end of the unit. I've included ideas and suggestions and resources for remediation and challenge activities. These activities are designed to easily help students begin mentally adding and subtracting.
