Here's a set of six games to work with place value for First Grade Common Core Standards.
The games includes
~A board game (to build numbers using tens and ones using tokens for beads). Suggestion. Get some cheap Mardi Gras type beads, cut the beads in strands of tens and ones. Students can collect, count, and see who gets the most to win the game.
~Place Value Bingo- Use those colorful plastic tokens from the Dollar Tree as your 'markers'. Students identify a number based on tens and ones and cover the corresponding number.
~ Greatest to Least Cards - Students pull cards, write selected numbers in order (least to greatest - or- greatest to least).
~ Place Value Bump- Students cover selected pictures/numbers based upon answering a question correctly.
~ Quiz, Quiz, Trade - Identify the value of the number within it's place (tens, ones)
~Greater Than, Less Than- Students pull 2 cards and record an equation using the greater than, less than symbol.
Six math centers for just $5.00. An entire week or more of hands on practice!
