This exercise pushes students to consider the costs and benefits of selecting a career. On the front side, they use marginal analysis for three career options. The back side pushes students to choose a career, based on their analysis using multiple vocabulary words from the unit (incentives, opportunity cost, free-rider problem, scarcity). This activity can be done in class or as a homework assignment. Requiring students to research the details of the jobs can make the task last an entire class period.
