There are two activities in this Mark Twain biography viewing guide to introduce your students to Mark Twain or supplement your Twain unit or American Literature realism authors unit. The activities can be used consecutively or independently.
Included:
- Video viewing guide and links to several free video biographies online. The viewing guide is written generally enough so that it can be used with any biography over Mark Twain. Answers are provided.
- Figurative Language Quotable Quotes Activity. Many times we use quotations unconsciously, and little do we realize that some of them are by famous authors. In this activity students read the words of Twain and analyze his use of figurative language. This is an excellent way to follow up the video. Answers are provided.
- NEW: Link to the Google Drive version for online classrooms
- Super Simple Sub Sheet
