These pages each have ten or more sentences. Students will first assign a color to each part of speech. Then they will underline each word in the sentence with the color that goes with the correct part of speech. At the bottom of each page there are directions of more they can do with the sentence that relates to a certain language skill. Some pages even have an opportunity for students to create their own sentences to demonstrate mastery of the language skills.
I use these in my classroom as an early finisher activity, but they could also be used for homework, center activities, practice pages for the given language skills, and more.
Language skills include:
The Four Types of Sentences
Subject and Predicate
Simple, Compound, and Complex Sentences
Common and Proper Nouns
Singular and Plural Nouns
Main, Helping, and Linking Verbs
Point of View
Cause and Effect
