Marketing Case Study for Marketing Mix and Brand Positioning Statement
Product Description
This is the student handout I use to evaluate the marketing mix for a local company in the news and have students use the information to develop a brand positioning statement to help deter/ fix the crisis. This can easily be adapted to any local case/ news you want students to analyze. This particular case study is based on the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, which in 2015 raised its gate admission prices from $10 to $50, causing uproar among potential customers. The drastic marketing strategy shift makes for an excellent case for Marketing students to evaluate why, the target market, and to help come up with a brand positioning statement to better communicate to the public what the Wild Animal Sanctuary is trying to accomplish.
