This worksheet can be used for helping students to design an advertisement that targets a particular market. Students randomly select a neutral product (something any person of any age or any market demographic could use), as well as a market to design the advertisement for. Their task is to design an ad that sells this product to that market, showing clear evidence of advertisement techniques (statistics, testimonial, sense appeal, etc.) and clear evidence of targeting their given market through imagery, colors, characters, text, etc. This can be a complex task for some secondary students, so this worksheet's questions help them consider and plan their ad.
