This file contains a PowerPoint presentation, project, and rubric to grade the project. The daily objectives are:
• Explain and apply the marketing research process.
• Discuss data collection practices.
• Design a market research survey for your food truck business.
I do this project in my Introduction to Business and Marketing course, but it could also be completed in many other business related courses. The PowerPoint presentation lists and explains the steps of the marketing research process and various types of data collection methods including primary and secondary data. The project uses the free version of the website Survey Monkey for students to create a survey to collect data about a problem they have defined. Students then have others take their survey and analyze the findings. Students then create an infographic in Piktochart of the data, findings, implications, and a reflection. A rubric is included to grade the project.
This project can be done with the other components of the food truck project in my store Business Girl or the project could be easily altered for students to do marketing research on any type of product or business.
