Provides a systematic approach to not only Marking the Text, but getting students to synthesize and make connections with what they are Marking Up.
Can be used in any content area, whether it be reading a text book or article. Fiction or Non-Fiction.
1)Section One: Text Mark UP
2)Section Two: Asks students to pull 6 vocabulary words from text and find definitions
3) Section Three: Has students writing a summary based off of Mark Up's
4) Section Four: Asks students to reflect, add their own opinion, and make text to self, text to text, and text to world connections
