Share the beauty and rich history of Dr. King's dream with your students!

I have created 2 ABC Order activities for your class to enjoy. Each activity features 9 Dr.King-related vocabulary words. You can use these activities as great history conversation starters, or even as a jump-off point for independent writing activities.

This product works well for Firsties that are learning about the concept of alphabetical order. This is a wonderful way to reinforce the skills that they are learning by allowing for additional practice and exposing them to new vocabulary. Second and Third grade students would also benefit from these activities as a means to help strengthen their skills. Practice truly can be fun, and it gives students the ability to experience independence while building self-confidence.

I hope that your students truly enjoy completing these activities!

Included in this download: A total of 2 ABC Order activities.

*2 ABC Order Activities-each with a color version and a black and white version (4 pages total)

**Suggestions for use:

~Whole Group as an introduction
*Project the page onto your whiteboard or complete the activity via a Docu' Camera.
~Small group instruction
~Independent Work for practice once the concept has been introduced and practiced
~Buddy Work
~With a Paraprofessional or parent volunteer
~Home-School Connection- Allow parents to see what skills their student is working on in school
~Print 2-5 color copies on cardstock, cut the words to be alphabetized off and laminate them to create an activity for Centers or Literacy Stations.
~For extension, have the students copy the words in ABC order in a notebook or journal. Have students write about how the words are related to one another.

However you choose to use these activities, I hope that your students will greatly benefit from the lessons, and that they enhance your teaching experience.

~You can print individual copies for each student to complete. Or, if you would like to save copies and/or ink, print a set(s) in color, laminate them, and use the activities in a Center or for Small Group activities.

~Please note that the total number of slides listed always includes:
* Cover
*Gratitude Page
*Directions for Use (when applicable)
*Terms of Use/Copyright
*Artistic Credits
