Product Description
Do you need an activity to use in January to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day? This MLK BINGO game will keep your kids' attention. This has lots of great facts for your kids to learn. They don't have to know all of the answers to have fun playing. The teacher can pull a card and then ask the class what the best answer is. By answering the questions/filling in the blanks, kids will learn all kinds of new facts about Martin Luther King, Jr.

This is the perfect activity to use in January for Martin Luther King's birthday, in February for Black History Month, or any time yo are studying about MLK.

This is suitable for upper elementary because the students will actually be cutting out the word/answer cards and gluing them on the pre-made board. By doing this, they get to pick where they want their cards to go, Basically they are creating their own game board. That's part of the fun.:-)

An extra bonus: Use the images on the board as writing prompts. Possibly have them use the words in sentences or write a short Christmas story/paragraph.

====================

When the students go to play the game, each student will get a Martin Luther King, Jr. themed BINGO board. Instead of saying BINGO, it says "DREAM" They will also get a sheet that has 32 word/answer cards. NOTE BEFORE YOU BUY: The cards come in black line only, but the board comes in black line and color. If you use the black line board, students will enjoy coloring the board.

They will take a few minutes to cut out the word cards and decide where they want to glue them on their BINGO/DREAM board. They will mix them up, so that all boards in the class will most likely be different. Eight answer cards will be left over, so not every kid will have every answer on their board.

The teacher will have a copy 32 question/fill in the blank cards with answers, and those are the cards the teacher will pull and call out.

If you want to 'recycle' the boards year after year, just have this year's class make the boards, color them, etc. Get them laminated, and you can reuse year after year.

Have fun with this Christmas Bingo game!
