~ Martin Luther King, Jr. ~ Black History Month ~ Biography ~ RI3.1 ~ RI4.1 ~ RI5.1 ~
Have you ever tried to have your kids write a biography after studying about a person? Not only did my students constantly find text they struggled with reading, but sometimes they simply copy from the text and really don't comprehend what they have copied. That's why I researched and wrote this short biography. I want to help students read about the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his accomplishments at their level! This student-friendly biography is written for grades 3-5 so they can understand what they are reading and be able to summarize it.
This resource is composed of:
* informational passage for Martin Luther King, Jr.
* text dependent questions page for the passage
* pages for students to write a summary of King's life
* timeline template to record life events
