Description

A Martin Luther King Jr Civil Rights Movement PowerPoint presentation and MLK Writing Assignment. An engaging overview of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from birth to his death and his legacy. There are many photographs and some audio from his "I have a dream" speech. Students will learn about the life of MLK, his influence, and how he dreamed of a brotherhood of man. Perfect for Martin Luther King day or Black History month. Includes a photo timeline which can be used as a prompt and example for students to build their own Martin Luther King Jr timeline from their notes. There is a writing assignment on the 4 last slides. Can be used and adapted for any grade level with differentiated expectations of the complexity of the writing. There would be a difference between a lower grade answer and a higher grade answer. There are four writing prompts as options for student choice or for teacher selection. Editable for your own class and may be customized for your class only. Please see full preview.

Did you know that you can use PowerPoints like this in Zoom for distance learning? You can also share with your students in OneDrive, too. Just make sure to tell them to view in Slideshow mode. If you don’t want them to have the answer key, remove it first. ;) You can also upload to Google Slides, and it will automatically convert. There may be some things like fonts or animations that are not compatible, but it is editable and usually easy to make adjustments.
