This is a collection of 28 quotations from Martin Luther King, Jr. that can be used for a class discussion activity. Pages can be printed and individual cards cut out to distribute to groups, pairs, or individuals. Students can be assigned to read the quotation, develop an explanation of what it means, and discuss how this quotation might be applied to current situations or events in American society. Optionally, students with internet connected devices could also be assigned to locate the original context of the quotation. After discussion, students could also be asked to complete a writing regarding what has been discussed. This package consists of 7 sheets with 4 quotes on each and a page of suggestions on how the quotations might be used.
