Students will listen to and read along with the the famous speech. They will then analyze the speech in groups with the worksheets provided by the teacher. When starting this activity you can have a short discussion on what was happening in the US at this time.
Students will have a chance to discuss the speech as a class and current events that have taken place in since this speech was given.
This lesson provides students a chance to go grasp a deeper understanding of Point of View and they will be able to connect history with current events.
