Background Information: 3 pages of notes for the teacher on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Fact Cards: 8 half page cards that give a fact and graphic of MLK's life.

Writing Craft: Choose your own writing topic (such as "I have a dream...") and create a Martin Luther King, Jr. craft to hold the half page writing paper

Poem Craft: An original poem can be printed as is or printed to be traced and accompanied with a world with hands shaking craft (example included).

Egg Experiment: A tiered book is included to take the students through the scientific process as you investigate the similarities and differences of white and brown eggs (leading to the fact that eggs can be different on the outside but are the same on the inside - just like people)

Vocabulary Book: Using 6 half pages, students will create a vocabulary book with the words dream, equality, leader, protest, and segregation. Each page of the book provides the students with a word and definition and asks a question or prompts the students to draw a picture.

Prejudice Experiment: Teacher directions to conduct a segregation/prejudice experiment in the classroom.

Writing Paper: 3 lined writing pages
