This kindergarten star-theme Marzano learning scale has been used in my classroom and has been effective. It is a great tool for monitoring student learning and progree.
The consists of three levels. Each level correlates to your learning goals. The green level (highest level of learning) should be used when students reach both simple and complex learning goals. The yellow level (middle level of learning) should be used with simple learning goals. The blue level (lowest level of learning) should be used when students need help and are not able to reach the learning goals.
The attached file contains the learning scale stars (print, cut out, and glue onto blue, yellow, and green paper. The file also contains small star cards that correlate to the large scale. Print, laminate, cut and use a metal ring to to attach one blue, yellow, and green star card for individual student use.
