This is a 4 page document with over 35 activating and summarizing strategies. This document names the activities and gives a short explaination as well. Activating strategies are also sometimes called activators or hooks. They are the short, quick, fun activities you do at the beginning of a lesson to engage the students and gain their interest. Summarizing strategies are sometimes referred to as summarizers. These are the activities you do at the end of a lesson to "wrap it up". A lot of these activities are interchangeable.
