I Xerox these pages onto different colored paper and put them into binders for each subject area. I then use vocabulary terms from my Kindergarten vocabulary to add onto the binders. Students brainstorm what they think the definition is, we share outloud, pick one and write it as a whole class. Student may draw or use pictures that I have selected for the term. We also come up with other pictures or terms to help us remember the word. Finally, we rate our understanding. Students may also return to their binders at the end of a unit to re-rate their understanding and add more information if needed.
