Building an understanding of the relationship between mass and volume can be a challenge, and even more so when students need to use metric units as they often do in science and math. This worksheet uses metric units to teach students about the relationship between mass and volume.
This worksheet uses something most students are very familiar with, pizza! Student’s help build a pizza with an equal mass of six different toppings and then explain why there are different volumes of each topping.
This worksheet would make an excellent formative assessment, homework assignment, although it could also be used as an in class assignment.
