This set of 20 questions can be used to help students practice their basic
derivative rules. These include the derivative of a constant, derivative of a
constant times a function, derivative of the sum and/or difference of functions,
derivative of a product of functions, derivative of a quotient of functions,
derivative with the power rule. There are no chain rule problems, exponential function, logarithmic functions or trigonometric functions.
Run off the cards with red equations on a heavy stock of paper. Cut apart to form 20 separate cards. Run off the cards with green equations, but don’t cut them apart. This is the game board. The goal is for students to differentiate each question on the small cards and then match their answers with the
derivatives on the game board. The task is best done by a group of 2 to 4
The product "Match Basic Derivatives" has the identical questions, but questions are designed to be used in a large class setting. This product can also be purchased in my store,
