These printable, downloadable sets have about 12 pairs of cards. For the factoring, one card is the product, and the other is the factored form. Students can start with the factored form and do the distributive property to find the product, or they can start with the product and try to find the factored form. As students work through, they start to look for patterns and are able to switch back and forth between the two processes more readily.
The graphing cards are used in the same way as the factoring cards. Students can start with the equation and find the graph, or with the graph and look for the equation. The matching activity allows for a connection to be made between the two forms. Students of course can also do writing if they wish.
Also attached is a one-page explanation on how best to use the cards.
