Every year as I teach, I grow. This year, I've been challenged by students who show little interest in simple matching tasks and would prefer to just do "put in" task boxes during work times. I would like to see them move beyond task boxes into matching and sorting and beginning reading type tasks, so I created these simple matching tasks to get them started in a way that they can be successful.
Included in this set is:
4 simple matching boards where every pictures is the exact same.
Students simply have to pick up the piece and place it anywhere on the board and they will have experienced success.
4 discrimination boards using the 4 different pictures but in different configurations.
This works on very simple discrimination from a field of 4 (as opposed to six or more in my vocabulary matching tasks).
This vocabulary task coordinates with my Brown Bear What Do You See?: Adapted Book for Early Childhood Special Education
. Created by *miss kim designs* a store for the unique learners in your life. Instructions for creating the matching task are included in the .pdf file.
These matching tasks are perfect for use with many of my adapted books. My adapted books are created for use in pre-K, preschool, early childhood special education and child care classrooms. Want more adapted books in other themes? To see my inventory of adapted books, click here
