If your students are anything like mine, they LOVE games! Not only are math games a wonderful way for students to practice their skills, they allows students the opportunity to learn through hands-on play with their peers.
This matching fraction game can be used in multiple ways: centers, independent skill practice, buddy work or small group focus work. Students can use materials such as string or straws to connect the matching fractions together while higher level students can use these cards as a challenging game of “Concentration”. However you and your students chose to play, this game is a great way to introduce and reinforce early fraction skills.
