PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This activity was created to help students learn and review six common math functions: linear, quadratic, absolute value, radical, rational, and exponential.

This product includes a tree map template with 6 branches, one for each function type. This product also includes over 40 images that are to be matched to one of the functions. The images include clip art images, graphs, equations, and properties. The students are to draw the images in the correct branch. Some images can fit into more than one function, but the student will need to justify why they drew the image where they did.

My students really enjoyed this activity, especially those that like to draw! Alternatively, the images could be cut apart and pasted onto a tree map. Students may work alone or with a partner. A rubric is included with this product.

This product is provided in pdf format.
