Students match slope intercept, point slope, and standard form equation cards. There are a total of 48 cards (16 triple combinations). Students can match point slope to slope intercept only for differentiation of learning.
Collaborative Group Activity
Students are divided into groups. Each group is given a full set of laminated cards. The first group to match all the slope intercept, point slope, and standard forms win.
Students match the slope intercept, point slope and standard forms and place them on a poster board. Students explain the advantages of using each form on the poster board.
Each player takes 7 cards. The player discards the cards that have three matching equations in the different forms. Every player takes a turn drawing from the pile or a card from another player. The first player with no cards wins.
