These matching pairs partner cards are a great resource when you need to quickly (and fairly) partner students up for an activity, assignment, or project.
The cards consist of objects that are commonly thought of in pairs (ex: peanut butter and jelly, a baseball bat and a baseball, etc.). The cards have no words, so they can be used with non-readers.
Prep: Print on cardstock and laminate for durability. Cut out.
How to Use: Explain the purpose of the cards and show the students an example of a match so they understand what to look for. Shuffle the cards. Pass out 1 card to each student. Instruct the students to walk around and find their matching card. When they find their partner, I have them come to me so I can check the match, collect the cards, and hand them their assignment.
