This resource is a direct instructional lesson. I hope this second lesson (7-2) in my Unit 7 on Probability and Statistics works well for you and your students and saves you valuable personal time. This lesson focuses on introducing experimental probability and comparing/contrasting theoretical and experimental probability. I have included an experiment in the display notes where the students have to collect data to compare experimental data with the theoretical probability. I used red and blue poker chips from the dollar store, but you could substitute those out for whatever you have on hand. This lesson supports VA SOL 7.8. This lesson also contains review practice with two-step equations from my Unit 3. If you like this lesson, please look for all the other lessons and activities for this Unit 7 in my TpT store. I plan to put the whole unit in a bundle as soon as I upload all the lessons and resources. I also have other Units for Virginia Math 7 in my TPT store. This lesson is intended for single use in your classroom. Please direct your colleagues to my store if they would like to use my products.
