For this project, students will use greatest common factor, least common multiple, squaring and cubing numbers as well as square roots and cube roots to come up with their own mathematical expressions that give details about their lives. Instead of writing their birthday, they come up with their own mathematical expression. A worksheet is included to write six different expressions. There are categories to choose from (birthday, number of pets, etc.) or students can create their own (number of video games I own, etc.) Included is a rubric for a poster so students can display their work.
