This “Math About Me” mini-book helps kids start to think about numbers in all aspects of their lives. This is great to use for back-to-school time or any time of year to get your students thinking about numbers—and to get to know your students better.
You can choose the pages that are right for your students. For young students, it is helpful to model and do one page at a time. Older students may be able to complete this as an independent assignment, or as a math station.
This can be stapled into a book, used as a math journal about numbers, or even used as a classroom display with pages hung individually.
Students love to share these books about themselves, and they are super easy to put together.
I have included 23 topics (some with versions at different levels). I have also listed some other ideas to use on the 6 blank pages included at the end of the file: age learned to walk, talk, ride a bike, height, weight....and many more!
