I created these to introduce my kindergartners to timed tests and build their fluency. So far, it has been a big hit. All you have to do is glue the blank cover to a manila folder for each student (I like to first glue lavender construction paper over it for sturdiness), and photocopy the masters of ice cream pieces. There are 10 levels, using missing addends with each level having "2 tries", one on the front and one on the back. Each time students pass a level, they earn a piece to their ice cream on the front of their cover. I then graph the progress of each level in a different color each time I correct their tests. I made these tests around "sums of" rather than adding 1 more at each level, because this is how I approach teaching facts.
