Product Description
This is an addition unit with a chocolate chip cookie theme. There are 58 pages in this download filled with black and white worksheets and colored printables. The unit consists of the following:
Page 1 - Title page
Pages 2 through 26 - 100 cookie addition cards with 100 answer cards, which cover the addition facts from the plus zeros to nines. Each card has an addition problem on it with two cookies. Students can add up the chocolate chips on the two cookies and find the answer card that matches it. Each answer card has the numeral and number word. The cards can be printed in color, cut, and laminated for ongoing use. They can be used many ways, such as individually with students, in math centers, or as a memory match game.
Pages 27 through 31 - These are cookie number identification cards 1 to 20. The cards each have one cookie on it with a certain amount of chocolate chips. Students count the number of chocolate chips on the cookie and find the matching answer card. The answer cards have the numeral and number word on each of them. These can be printed in color, cut, and laminated for ongoing use. You can also use these cards in multiple ways.
Pages 32-58 - There are 27 black and white worksheets for addition practice. The worksheets cover the facts from the ones to the nines. The students count the number of chocolate chips on each cookie and write the numeral for each below. The students then add the number of chocolate chips of the two coookies. The student draws the sum of the chocolate chips on the answer cookie and writes the numeral below. The worksheets can be used as a whole class activity, individually with students, or in a math center. One idea for the worksheets is to put them in clear sheet protectors in a binder in your math center. The students can use dry erase markers to fill them out and then erase when they are finished. Brown dry erase markers would be fun to use the draw the chocolate chips. Real chocolate chips would be fun manipulatives to use in your classrooom to help with addition practice as well. (Other types of chips could be used if you have a chocolate allergy in your class). For samples of the number id cards and worksheets, please press the download preview button!
Lesson plans are not included. These materials can used as an enhancement when teaching addition.

I hope you and your students enjoy using the chocolate chip cookie materials in your class to help learn addition. Please rate me as I am a new seller this summer. Also, check out my store which currently has 7 FREE downloads.
