What a fun way to practice Addition!
Print and laminate color mats, black and white OR both. I put my mats in a plastic page protector. They erased very quickly and easy! :)
Items needed: dry erase marker, rag, manipulatives, response sheet.
Students spin a number (use a pencil and a paper clip) They record it with a dry erase marker. Students can draw circles on the mat or use manipulatives. Students place the correct number of manipulative on the mat. Then add.
I used manipulatives that I had found at the Dollar Store. I found plastic starfish, lizards, frogs, etc. Students loved these. You could also use any math manipulative that you have available.
I used these mats with the whole class, for early finishers, and for Math Stations.
