Second Grade Bunny Hop Hop Array!
Second Graders use Rectangular Arrays to find the total number of pairs of footprints by using repetitive addition. Through Commutative property of multiplication, students can add the columns or rows and still reach the same answer.
There are thirty-two arrays. Students should practice adding the columns, and then add the rows to see if the answer is the same. Give one center one set of arrays, and another center the other set. After they solve the problems, the centers can trade sets. Answer key provided.
