This five page assessment is perfect for the beginning of first grade. This tests students on key skills that should be mastered by the end of kindergarten and gives you a good base line for where students are starting off the year in first grade.
Skills that are tested include: counting objects and writing numbers up to 20, extending basic patterns, identifying 2 dimensional shapes, counting by ones and tens, using pictures
to add, using pictures to subtract, identifying which group has more, and determining which object is the longest, shortest, biggest, smallest, and tallest.
Answer key is included.
This could also be used as an end of Kindergarten assessment.
*****This assessment is included in my First Grade Beginning, Middle, and End of the Year Math Assessments
