Have you been looking for a quick way to assess your students knowledge of various math skills that you are teaching? Then these math assessment sticks will help you do just that. They are a quick way to assess your students understanding of various math topics. You ask students a question, they hold up the stick which they feel is the correct answer and then you record on a checklist which students understood the concept. For example: "Look at the number I am showing you, what is the value of the underlined digit?" Students would then hold up one of the place value sticks and you can quickly see who has an understanding of place value.
