If your students keep a math binder, use this rubric to keep students accountable for the use and organization of their binder.
In my class, binders have three sections: 1. Class Information (e.g. syllabus), 2. Permanent Notes (e.g. math reference materials, vocabulary terms), and 3. Current Work (e.g. current notes). When I assess their binders, I also select several problems that students completed but did not turn in and assess them on this rubric.
