Teacher's Center:   - Intro key text features -discuss important of them -Pass out post-its to each student with pencil. -Explain that students will write key text features on the post its when they finish reading. -Assign portion of text for students to read at GR table. -when students finish reading, have them share the key text features. -Ask comprehension questions and illicit answers from the students. -Make sure students write down key text features on post its. -Discuss the key text features.   Word Study Center:   -Have index cards available and multiple whole punches -Students scan the article looking for key text features -Students make a four square on cards - word, definition, sentence, picture   Writing Center:   -Print out Key Text Features worksheet from Scholastic -Students use the article to answer questions. -Make sure students use capital letters and punctuation   Computer Center:   -Print out computer worksheet. -students have a chrome book and headphones -listen to video ***embedded on teacher's resources page   Center Activities:   -Students gather in their GR groups  -have center or game available   Silent Reading Center:   -In GR groups, have students read quietly.  great!!
