Are your students having trouble retaining the math skills they need to be successful? I created this resource as a supplement to the math program adopted by my district. By the end of the year my students were more confident math learners and performed much better on state-wide testing. An added plus – This product requires no copying or prep on your part! All students need is a composition notebook to record their answers.
Third and fourth nine weeks skills:
This file contains 15 weeks of Math Builder activities. Skills continue to build from the second nine weeks and become more rigorous. Monday: Practice with numbers over 100. Students determine the number of the day with base 10 blocks. Students continue with skills above but also begin with completing number patterns; Tuesday: Time to the hour and half hour, coin identification/values, reading graphs, measurement; Wednesday: identifying 2D and 3D shapes, sides/faces, vertices, equal parts and fractions; Thursday: Algebraic numbers and operations – Fact families (missing numbers), patterning, and word problems; Friday – Quick check assessment
Also included with this resource is a Number Words sheet for students to refer to when writing the numbers in words. (I copy this for each student and tape on their desk.)
This resource is also available in a PowerPoint Edition for those who do not have SmartBoards in their classrooms.
Be sure to look for the first and second nine week units in my TPT store!
