This is a collection of 10 card games to practise basic operations. The games would be appropriate for students in Grade 2, 3, 4, and 5. You could use the games as homework activities, as part of a lesson, or as a math centre. At the beginning of the year, I ask my students to buy their own deck of cards.
The games are explained in English and French on each page. I assigned a grade to each game based on the Ontario curriculum, but by increasing the numbers and adpating the rules, the games can be made more challenging to use with older students.
You can make the spinners by using a paperclip and pencil or by inserting a butterfly clip and paperclip into the centre.
