Math Center: Base Ten Addition

These are task cards that you can print and laminate. Add them to a math center along with base ten manipulatives or linking cubes and white board markers. Students can use manipulatives to build the given set of base ten blocks using rods and units. They can then write the number on the card, and if able, can then write the corresponding number sentence.

A fun extension would be to add mini marshmallows and skewers to the center so they can create their own rods.

*This game is not intended to include ALL numbers. Instead, it includes a variety of sums. It was corrected 2-9-13 to amend my love affair with the number 15, which was included several times.
