### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Number Matching and Counting Puzzles 1 – 10 {Balloons and Animal Friends}

These puzzles help to strengthen counting and cardinality skills, in particular by reinforcing subitizing skills.

In order to differentiate for different levels and abilities, this item includes 2 sets of number matching puzzles:

1. 2-piece puzzles: children match the numeral to the counting dots (with numbers included to assist with one-to-one correspondence). [10 puzzles, numbers 1-10]

2. 4-piece puzzles: children match the numeral, tally marks, dots, and counting dots. [10 puzzles, numbers 1-10]

You might start your students out with the 2 piece puzzles, and, once they have mastered these, add more challenge with the 4 piece puzzles. Each puzzle has a different shape to match, so these are easy for your children to self-correct.

The theme is balloons with animal characters—ideal for year-round math center activities!

The puzzles may be used at a math center, during small group time, or as an independent activity.

There are two puzzles per 8.5” x 11” page. Simply print on cardstock or heavy paper, laminate for durability if desired, cut apart the puzzles, and store in a Ziploc bag or envelope.
