TASK CARD: Matching Tiles
TEKS 8.10b Describe the resulting effects on volume when the dimensions of a solid are changed proportionally.

Materials needed: Scratch paper, formula chart, calculator, and a partner.

• Work each problem on the tiles on your scratch paper. Arrange the tiles in a 3x3 matrix matching problem to answer on each side of the tile.
• When done, check your arrangement of tiles against the answer key.
• Have your teacher verify your work.
• Complete the Matching Tiles reflection card and turn in to your teacher.

Teacher Note: Copy each card onto card stock (laminate optional) and cut them out for use in this activity. Provide a copy of the key for students to check their answers when done. Provide a reflection sheet for each student.
