Use these printable games as a fun way to assist students to practice mental addition facts
and using 100 chart.
These games cater for all students in Math Centers because the difficulty can be altered by the number of dice used. Learn and have fun. SUCCESS!
In a classroom, this game easily caters for most abilities, as more able students think and use strategy, whilst others play for chance.
In Math Centers it is a great activity; all children playing the same game, using and developing their skills and discussing their theories and ideas.
In the beginning I get students to use 4 dice, so they're adding number 4-24.
Then they move onto deciding whether to use more or less. At some stages of the game, it is wise to decrease the dice and logical to work out the possibilities and chances.
Playing in pairs encourages students to talk about their decisions, successes, mistakes and I believe this sharing of ideas is vital to education.
The files are for black or color printing. I usually print on bright, colorful paper if using black ink, and laminate.
As a casual teacher or a tutor, this is a valuable activity, easily carried with you, adaptable for most ages and abilities.
I have other sets of similar games for remembering MULTIPLICATION facts.I find the variety is great!
