Product Description
So students can work independently, on Math Center Activities, I created these fans as a desktop reference and memory tool. Scatter them around the classroom or select specific fans for an activity; Math Centers will progress smoothly because students will be independent.
Although students can often solve algorithms, they struggle to recall facts and interpret word problems because they don't get the clues in the language.

They hold information, facts, vocabulary and simple explanations so students can work independently.
There are three fans;
1. Vocabulary and Math Concepts; to assist students to understand and solve word problems, by remembering Math vocabulary and concepts.
2. Multiplication Tables; to remind students of multiplication and division facts until they can automatically recall
3. A Fraction fan; simple images that explain and depict most common fractions. Useful to finding equivalents.

I use fans a lot as desktop/folder memory resources for facts and information that students need handy, helping make them independent learners.
The novelty of fans makes them successful!

I have some copies for the class that I have printed and laminated.
After printing, cut, laminate and re-cut. Then I've punched holes and assembled together with a split pin, or brass brad.
Most students can cut and assemble themselves, so I also make a black ink copy for individuals.
This is one of my most useful fans! At the end of the year, these are tattered and well-worn!

These are great resources for students to have on desks or in folders for reference, until they memorize the facts, words and concepts. They close up into a tidy stack. The children love the novelty of them, and are often looking, touching and playing with them, and so they are becoming familiar with the information.

All fans don't have to be the same; only give students the blades you want each individual to have. So if you haven't discussed a topic yet, leave those blades until later.
I use the blades as support; once a student is competent, I give them the next blades to add to their fan. They think it is a reward!

These are available individually, but this bundle is at a discount price.
