    This is a big bundle of 45 math games/centers to complement your math program and lessons.

    It is a bundle of 9 of my 'Math Packs' - each including 5 activities carefully designed to explore the concepts in an engaging and motivating way. Most importantly the activities have been designed to explore the concept itself - your students will not groan about another game of 'match the card' or think they have 'seen it all before' with this collection!

    Pack 9 = The Addition Concept

    Perfect for the teacher who knows how to teach the basics, but needs fun motivating resources that are easy to prepare.

    Each of the 45 small-group activities has:

    - detailed instructions
    - playing cards/boards/templates
    - a worksheet (either a recording worksheet or a fun-follow-up)
    - a cover page to help you organize your resources for future reference


    The activities included in this bundle carefully sequence 9 weeks of math lessons, perfect for Kindergarten, and are:

    Bears on the Bus
    Students use small plastic bears to represent the number on each bus, and record it on their worksheet.

    Gum Fun
    Students spin a number on the gum ball machine and count-out the number to move their way to the finish line.

    Find It
    Students spin and identify the numeral or dot pattern, before covering a representation of it on their game board.

    Clip It Birds
    Students count and clip clothespins to the birds to show their understanding of each number.

    Monkeys
    Students match baby monkeys to the mother monkeys and order numbers in counting order.

    Bear School
    Students use small plastic bears to represent the number on each school house, and record it on their worksheet.

    Caterpillar Crawl
    Students spin a number count-out the number to move their way around the game board. They identify the dot patterns and match to a numeral (subtilizing).

    School Race
    Students roll a standard die and match to a numeral.

    Clip It Kids
    Students count and clip clothespins to the kids to show their understanding of each number - numeral and dot patterns.

    Super Six
    Students roll the die, identify the dot pattern, match to a numeral. They need to order numbers in counting order also

    Clip the Sides
    Students use clothes-pins to identify the number of sides on each shape. Record this and the name of each shape on the recording page.

    Shape Search
    Students identify features of the shape on the game board to cover when the correct call card is chosen.

    Shape Bingo
    Students name and identify 2D shapes in different orientations and try to be the first to cover all on their game board.

    Shape Count
    Students count the number of different shapes occurring on their game card and the total of each is recorded on their worksheet.

    Shape Spin
    Students take a turn to spin and try to get 4 shapes in a row on the game board. Played in pairs this can be completed on a worksheet game board as an alternative.

    5 Frame Caterpillar
    Students will match the 5 frame to a matching numeral.

    Gator Match
    Students will locate 2 five frames that are different arrangements but have the same value, and match them.

    5 on the Bus
    Students will find 2 five frame buses that have identical pattern arrangements and match them.

    Five Street
    Students will see an arrangement card, and then re-create it with counters/chips on the house/street five frame card they each have.

    Happy Frame
    Students will identify five frame patterns shown to them by a caller, and locate them on their game board. They will cover the dots with counters/chips to practice building the five frame patterns.

    Count and Build
    Students build mini constructions with a number of blocks to match each card

    Snail Trail
    Students spin a number and lay a snail trail to match their spin

    Bug Catch
    Students place bugs into each jar to match the number on the lids

    Number Match
    Students play 3 different common classroom card games to review numerals and patterns 0-9.

    Numeral Formation Cards
    Students will trace, roll play dough, place pom poms or counters and drive mini cars over the game mats to practice current numeral formation for numbers 0-9.

    Finger Count
    Students recognize pictures of the counting-fingers for numbers 0-10, practice them and order them.

    Number Street
    Students trace and write numerals 1-10 in counting order.

    House Numbers
    Students match dot pattern pictures and numerals 0-10 in counting order.

    Number Words
    Students play 3 different common classroom card games to review numerals and number names (words).

    Number Train
    Students find a numeral, number word, dot pattern, picture and finger-count picture match for each number 1-10.

    Before & After
    Students will locate and identify pictures that happen before/after an event.

    Number Zoom
    Students will order numerals 1-6 in horizontal counting order.

    Next & Before
    Students will identify numbers immediately before or immediately after a featured number within 0-10.

    Super Numbers
    Students will locate and position numbers before AND after a given number, randomly in the range 0-10.

    Numberpillar
    Students will sequence and write 3 number sequences from various starting points in the range 0-10.


    Let's Compare
    Students will label picture collections with greater than/less than/equal to words and symbol cards

    Collecting Shells
    Students will determine more/less with pictures of collections as they collect shells in their bucket.

    How Many More?
    Students will determine 'how many more' by direct comparison of picture cards (arranged in rows of 2 - good intro to odd/even).

    Train Tracks
    Students will order numbers in a linear arrangement to determine more/less.

    Peas Please
    Students will draw 'more peas' to make a group that is 'more than' the picture collection.

    Car Ride
    Students will spin a number twice and draw picture dots in the front and back of the car to find the total. Chips/counters can also be used to model addition.

    Add the Apples
    Students will determine the total by counting the apples in 2 colors.

    Happy Add Up
    Students will draw happy faces or use counters to fill more squares on the frames to complete the total shown.

    Bus Roll
    Students will roll and add cube 'passengers' to the blank number track buses.

    Addition Hop
    Students will hop along the numbered number track to solve the addition story.

    These activities can be used in a structured game rotation program, as math centers or in guided math. Once taught, they also make fantastic 'fast-finisher' activities for revision of key concepts.
