This product contains 8 activities and visual prompts that build on the following concepts:

*construct equations to 10 or more
*comparing numbers using ‹, ›, and =
*make tens with linking cubes (and other manipulatives you might have on hand)
*compose and decompose numbers to make ten
*use models of problem structures and the concepts of “joining” and “separating” to represent addition and subtraction
*recall “Best Friends” – number partners that join to make ten
*recall “Neighbors”- numbers to 20 and their +1 and -1 counterparts
*understand how the “rainbow graphic” simplifies problems by recognizing sets of numbers that make ten
