Product Description
Hi TPT Friends!

What do the kids do when they’re done their daily math paper?

Here’s how I use Math Choice Boards in my classroom:

Each kiddo has a math folder. I make a copy the work board for each student to keep in his/her folder throughout the topic.

In our Math center, I have a magazine file box for each activity. Everything needed for each activity is in the box (papers, counter, dice, etc.) I cut up a color version of the board and tape the corresponding square on each file box so the kids can easily tell which box they need to go to for materials. I use little snap containers that I found at the dollar store to put together a little kit of what’s needed for each activity so the kiddos can get started quickly.

As students finish their math pages, I ask them to leave them on their desks for me to check, then the kids go on to Math Centers. They can choose any activity on the board as long as they are really working the whole time. I ask them not to repeat an activity until they’ve tried them all. While the kids are working on the choice activities, I can focus on checking each child’s work and call students back for a reteach if needed.

At the end of math, I have the kiddos put a check in the box of any activities that they have finished. Unfinished work goes in the folder for the next day and finished work goes home. It’s so easy! It practically runs itself.

Enjoy!
