This is a set of 35 short math problems that can be used in different ways, like as a warm up to the math lesson or as morning work. You could even use them as a quick review of previously taught concepts.
The problems are in two formats: a full page to display for the whole class and then a page that has the same problem 6 times. This page could be copied and cut so each child could glue a problem into a math notebook.
Table of Contents:
Place Value Puzzle – Page 4
Make a Number with Base 10 Blocks – Page 15
Number Puzzles – Page 26
Mystery Number – Page 37
Build Money with Coins – Page 48
Coin Puzzles – Page 59
Number Patterns – Page 70
This set of problems is designed to be repetitive in order to give students more opportunities to solve the same type of problems. For example, there are 5 problems that all focus on completing a number pattern. The problems will all be similar under each category. So, you will see the same wording but different numbers will be used in each problem.
Please check out the preview to see an example of each type of problem. This has been designed for second graders, but could also be used with first and third graders.
